It was so great coming back to California and shooting familiar faces again. It was so amazing to see Eugenie of Feral Creature, after a whole month of not shooting her, I felt like I was losing my touch! So as soon as I landed in California I told her immediately we need to plan a day to shoot!
Slowly we’ve both became very busy with our business! I’m so glad that we have both seen each other grow as creatives. Feral Creature’s style is hard to describe but it seems to be that edgy, funky, and chic look. She’s definitely out of the ordinary. There’s nothing that she wouldn’t be able to pull off.
But here are some pictures from our month February!
I recently shot Tommy Lei for his style/fashion blog, My Belonging. It was a really fun and casual shoot for his blog.
Tommy is this really chill, laidback dude, and loves food as much as I do. His style really describes him, really casual and chic. For this set he got featured on Details!
I was really happy to shoot him this month because we’ve been planning to shoot for awhile. Anyways, just check out the images below! :D
There’s nothing but excitement and adventurous moments during this journey. I cannot explain the joy that I had last year, but I have to say, if it wasn’t for the people who enjoy my work, I definitely wouldn’t be motivated to do the things I do. Getting feedback and admiration, I have to say that’s probably the best part about this whole job. I love when I have clients who understand the creativity of this career and understand the work of it. There’s no way to describe how I feel when I get that response when people see my work. It’s a heartfelt feeling when people love my photography. But I know there’s much more to do to pursue what I’m doing. I’m still young in the game but you know, if I pave my path in the right direction I will surely get to where I need to be.
I want to thank those who have followed my work for a long time and see my progress! I’ve enjoyed my journey as a photographer so far and I’m happy to see myself improve. There’s so much more to learn, but I’m really happy that I could make this happen for myself. From shooting weird shit to actually photographing absolutely wonderful people and things. I’ve started my year right and hopefully much more will be coming my way. Everyday is an improvement and as I learn more the better things will become!
To all the people I’ve worked with in the past, thank you! You guys are amazing, I hope we all progress and move forward with our choice in life! We creatives do so much to get what we want. Our motivation is what get us through the day. So I appreciate that you guys gave me the opportunity to work with you and join your creation! Without you guys, what is there for me to photograph? THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Here are some old photos to recap my journey so far:
Ever since I came back to California I’ve been just shooting bloggers and going to meetings with a few people but mostly at home editing and replying to emails. But I did reach out to one of the agencies here in LA, Photogenics Media, and was able to book a model for the weekend. So I had to go location scout for a place to shoot!
My friend Titus does thing where he only updates his Facebook profile picture once a year and we were supposed to shoot for his profile picture awhile back. Since I wasn’t able to shoot it, I decided to ask him if he wanted to location scout with me and take photos in Chinatown at night. So now the outcome is that he has a choice of many, for his profile picture and I have locations where I exactly want to shoot.
So I’ve known Johnny for about 4 years now. We met each other through mutual friends, and he was also into photography. He did it as a hobby, and I actually pursued it as a career. There was also a period of time when I worked for his mother at their nail shop. It was great getting know Johnny. Now he has a girlfriend and works for a car company. It was great seeing him again and being able to take pictures of him and his girlfriend, Jennifer. They’re both corky and funny, so it was easy to shoot them together. You can see that in the photos I took.
So take a look at the photos I’ve captured! :D
So I recently came back from multiple trips, Atlanta and The Bay Area (Nor Cal) just a few weeks ago! I had a wonderful experience with shooting and exploring new places. It was a pleasant time meeting my old friends and making new friends on these amazing trips.
So I had a month trip here visiting my family and old friends. I also was able to meet amazing and talented people. I really appreciated that my friend, Aspen, who attends SCAD let me borrow her school’s studio to do my test shoots with the agencies out in Atlanta. I also had amazing news hearing one of my friend is pregnant now, I’m super happy for her.
When I did try to leave back to California, it snowed. It freaking snowed, and my flight got cancelled but luckily I was able to book another flight. I was scared because I had a trip to The Bay Area that weekend of.
These are some photos of my trip to Georgia!
Coming back from Georgia, I had to go to The Bay area with my mentor, Sylvia. We had a wedding to shoot in San Mateo. The wedding location was breath taking, but sadly we had to shoot indoors because of rain. It seems like weather likes to follow me around. Luckily, my mentor’s client was super easy and chill about it being indoors.
I got to meet some of her amazing and interesting friends with our mini vacation in The Bay Area. I had such a great time meeting everyone and it was great seeing my friend Patrick again and my other friend Huong in San Jose! OH, and I was able to buy a bottle of Orange Sauce from La Vic’s, so I was super happy. If you haven’t had it yet, you should go try some.~
You can see more photos on my mentor’s blog too:
Quyen is an old co-worker that I used to work with back in Georgia doing nails. My friend Johnny, which happens to be her nephew, showed her my work when he was booking me for a shoot with his girlfriend, and she really liked my photography, so she ended up booking me too! This was her very first shoot with her boyfriend, Adrian. They were so easy to work with and great in front of the camera. Glad the day was nice out too!
Anyways, take a look at the photos I took for them!
For my first test shoot in Atlanta, I shot with Alie Diaz of Click Models! It was a pleasure working with her, she was just so humble and great! I also had the pleasure of having Drew Lenale on set as my assistant that day too! We’re both growing photographers in the industry and he’s been a very big help while I was in Atlanta.
We had a few technical problems during our shoot, but we surely wrapped up well and quick!
This was my first time using gel lights and it’s awesome! Thanks to my mentor, Sylvia, I learned new way of using lights. Here are the few photos from my shoot check it out!

Some of you might know that I’ve recently visited Atlanta, GA. With my stay there I’ve made some accomplishments! I was able to progress my photography work and gain more working experience. While I was in Atlanta freezing to death, I was able to work with amazing talents here. My friend, Jessica Castro, who lived here before but now lives in Los Angeles, was able to recommend me this amazing hair and make up artist, Jennifer Nieman, not only that, Jessica was basically like my booking agent. I really have to thank these two for helping me with booking models and being so supportive!
So below, are images I’ve shot of Jen Whitley of Click Model Management. I didn’t have a stylist for this shoot but luckily my friends Aisha and April wore the same size as Jen so I was able to pull from their closet, big thank you to them. Since the team were freezing to death in the crazy GA weather, I couldn’t let these shot go to waste, so I had to submit them to somewhere, and luckily it got picked up by Coco Indie Magazine.
By the way, this is my first publication, SO YAY ME! :D Just another one of my accomplishment this year! <3 Starting this new year right!
Here are some behind the scenes photo:
So here’s an editorial I shot a couple months ago. I really, really love the Asian inspired clothing, so my stylist was able to pull amazing looks for this shoot. I really loved the looks that we were able together from the hair, the clothes, and make up.
I’m super thankful for my friend Joncen flying out from AZ to even do the hair for me! Even though it didn’t get picked up but any magazines, I truly had a great learning experience from it! :D But you can check out the photos here.

I recently flew back to GA and one of good friends asked me to take some photos for her. I had a pleasure shooting my good friend Ruth. I used to shoot with her for fun and practice.
With the weather being so crazy, and me being sick. I finally found the day to actually shoot my friend without being sick and the weather was just right to go out. We traveled to different places to shoot, since we live in small towns of Atlanta, there’s not too much location to shoot.
Check out some of the photos I was able to snap of her:
It’s winter time, lets go to the beach and shoot! Being crazy, my friend Mason and I got to go to the beach to shoot in the middle of December as if the water isn’t cold already normally. It was fine though, because weird California weather, it was pretty warm that day so we didn’t have too much hard time, until Mason hopped into the water, but here are a few shots from my shoot with him. Check it out! :D
Awhile ago I had the pleasure shooting a smooth, easy going nursing graduation at Los Angeles Valley College. It was really great photographing the grads that walked across the stage and as they got pinned. They were all kinds of individuals, and it’s really cool to see them come together like a family for their graduation. So I felt very lucky to shoot their ceremony.
CONGRATULATION CLASS OF 2013! :D
A week before Thanksgiving I had the pleasure of shooting Hideka & Hiro’s wedding. It was the first wedding I ever shot, so I was really nervous, but it came out great with the help of Sylvia. I had a great time photographing a memorable moment !
Hiro and Hideka known each other ever since they were kids back in Japan. It was really great that they wanted me to shoot their wedding! They were just a fun couple to photograph! I also got the pleasure of meeting Hideka’s sister, Minami. She is a famous Japanese Pop Star in Japan! :D
Overall, I had a great time shooting the wedding, it was definitely a learning experience.
Happy New Year guys! Hopefully, you had a wonderful holiday! It’s been a great time shooting Eugenie this year! With her transition to new clothes and sponsors, her looks has been really amazing. Check out the new stuff!
